Cell Site and Mobile RF analysis – how to extract meaningful and actionable information for criminal investigations.

This is the title of the webinar which Group 2000, together which Forensic Analytics presented last Tuesday, October 19th, 2021, on the ISS World Training, facilitated by Telestrategies.

It demonstrated the vital role that RF (Radio Frequency) data can play in criminal investigations.  An officer from Wiltshire Police in the UK presented several cases showing how RF data helped them quickly gather and analyse information to apprehend a suspect and later turn it into evidence to secure convictions.

These investigations used the LIMA Cell Monitor to gather mobile network cell information and advanced functions like band locking and scanning to reveal additional information. By using CSAS by Forensic Analytics to analyse this RF data and combine it with, for example, Call Detail Records, it could instantly be converted into actionable information

LIMA Cell Monitor is a purpose-built device that can be used to undertake site surveys to gather 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G data and Wi-Fi information. Its small form factor and Android management app allow it to be used in covert surveys carrying a backpack or the vehicle booth.

If you are interested in better understanding the various use cases and technology of LIMA Cell Monitor for your organization, do not hesitate to approach us to request an individual presentation.
