Almelo, the Netherlands: Today, Group 2000 and iTrust Ethics launched iTrust6A™️ powered by LIMA® workflow management software. The six-principle framework was based on iTrust Ethics’ 20+ years’ experience of handling disclosure of personal data requests from law enforcement agencies. The framework was then coded into Group 2000’s LIMA® workflow management software which provides tailor-made client workflows, to retain traceable and transparent records of the considerations and steps taken in the decision-making process when handling such requests.
The tool allows organisations to comprehensively analyse all considerations involved when deciding whether to disclose data or not, helping to identify and minimise data protection risks, and acts as an accountability mechanism for ensuring that the privacy rights of individuals are upheld.
As the first early adopter, Vodafone Ireland is using iTrust6A™️ to standardise how it handles requests for disclosure of data from law enforcement agencies, demonstrate compliance and transparency by guiding how decisions are made and recording the rationale for disclosure of data in the company’s evolving regulatory environment.
Speaking at today’s launch, CEO Richard Coppens, at Group 2000, said: ”This tool simplifies ethical, lawful, and responsible decision-making when disclosing personal data. Powered by our LIMA® workflow management software, we believe that it can play an important role for organisations in today’s digital age to demonstrate to customers that they are trustworthy and transparent, and to regulators that they are compliant and committed to protecting user data.”
Maureen King, Founder and CEO of iTrust Ethics, said: “We are delighted to partner with Group 2000 to launch iTrust6A™️ powered by LIMA® workflow management software. This is the first RegTech of its kind to be launched to the global market. In addition to standardising and simplifying the decision-making rationale for disclosing personal data, adherence to the six principles will build internal and external trust in your organisation by infusing an ethical mindset of doing what is right.”
Pamela McCarthy, at Vodafone Ireland, said: “iTrust6A™️ is genius in its simplicity, and we have been using it since 2020 to standardise and simplify how we handle requests for disclosure of data to law enforcement agencies (LEAs). Since then, through close collaboration with the iTrust Ethics team, it has played a central role in helping us to demonstrate compliance and transparency when handling requests for disclosure of personal data from LEAs and to act ethically”.
